Maya and Babatunji are dancers with The Alonzo King LINES Ballet in San Francisco, CA. LINES was in Athens for a performance at UGA's Performing Arts Center. I was lucky to connect with Babatunji at The East Athens Dance Center on MLK Day. He and the rest of the dancers had a full schedule while they were in Athens, and Babatunji literally had 90 minutes free before he left for Memphis. At the last minute, he invited Maya to join us. As I was heading to the hotel to pick them up, I passed Howard's Body Shop and realized that it might be the perfect location. Howard kept working on a car while we were shooting, barely looking up as these two amazing artists danced around his shop.
