More photographs of Maya and Babatunji from Alonzo King LINES Ballet behind the old the Firehouse Package Store on Broad Street in Athens, GA. I used to take my old Volkswagen for repairs to a mechanic in this building. The dancers warmed up here, and we took a few shots before moving on to Howard's Body Shop next door.
The Firehouse Package Store was bulldozed last year but it was immortalized in the R.E.M. song Oddfellows Local 151 from the album Document:
