Some legends are born. Others are made.

Back in 2020, Matt Turbeville was working at Flowerland when he asked if he could help with the sign on the corner of Prince Ave. and Milledge. He thought bringing a little humor to the neighborhood might be nice during the COVID era.

The first one I remember seeing was “Free Pot with Plant,” and ever since then, I’ve always been excited to see what Matt would come up with next.

A couple of weeks ago, I met Matt early on a Sunday morning to photograph the new sign going up.
